Amy was a
pretty lady in her mid twenties, who got married to Fola, a TDH kind of guy.
Amy
does a 9- 4 job, gets home early, she confidently has her copper T on,
certainly not afraid of unwanted pregnancy and always looks forward to her husband’s
return, unfortunately this is not the same for Fola.
Fola loves his wife no doubt but only wishes she will be asleep or very fatigued and not bother him to seeing her as a ‘' woman’’, if you know what I mean…
Not
that Amy isn’t good in bed, or every man’s desire for his woman, the problem is
with Amy down there...yes down there!
Amy
had a bacterial infection that seem incurable, and very recurrent for 3 years
now. She has used all antibiotics, done swab investigation and even pelvic
scan, this is not a Pelvic inflammatory disease but a Candida Albican infection
(Candidiasis, Vaginal thrush, Yeast infection) that can led to an inflammatory disease.
Amy
wondered why she will have her bath 3 times in a day and still scratch her
vagina vigorously, or wonder why she buys new panties every month but still
something oozes out like a bad deo. For the records she had to stop work
because she was getting embarrassed when her colleagues starts to close their
nose upon seeing her out of disgust as she passes by, Candidiasis could be that
bad.
A
fishy smelly odour is what you get all the time with cheese like discharges.
8
in every 10 women would have had this infection once or twice in their life
time, some peeps categorise this as toilet disease and lots of uncompleted dose
of antibiotics is being taking in which could even cause a super infection.
This
infection will forever reoccur if part of the female reproductive organ known
as the vagina is not well cared for.
Amy
visited the reproductive health clinic to save her marriage and self-embarrassment and
she was lectured on how to take care of her vagina and avoid the use of
prolonged antibiotics.
The
vagina should be a sacred place but unfortunately women have turned there to a
room of piercing with rings, use of alkaline base substance and lime to tighten
the vagina, you name it.
It
is very important to wash your vagina at least twice a day or as often as the
area feels moist or even after toileting or after every workout, always remember
to towel dry.
Avoid
wearing wet or damp pant, only dry cotton material should be worn. Teenagers often
times try to hurriedly wash their underwear overnight and where there is no
other they wear wet or partly dried underwear without knowing the implication
of such act.
Ensure
to change your under garment every day, do not reuse without washing in Luke
warm water.
Except
you have sexual intercourse, keeping your vaginal wet or not towel dry after
washing increases the chances of vaginal odour and infection.
Ladies
have not fully come to terms that using antiseptic soap or any other perfumed
soap would rather cause candidiasis than give an inviting smell around that
area. Antiseptic soap when used too
often kills the normal flora of the vagina and giving chance for bacteria to
grow, harsh toilet soaps are equally not good to wash the vagina with…Best use
is water.
The Vagina has mechanism to clean itself, do not scrub or use
chemicals all for the sake of keeping her clean.
Your
sanitary pad during your monthly cycle should be disposable. Pads or tampons
are not reusable. They are disposable and that will mean either soaked with
blood or once used should be thrown into the trash very quickly. The longer
they stay in you, the faster the growth of micro organisms.
It
is a big offense to use vaginal sprays or chemicals in the name of making the
vaginal smell like strawberries.it is not an ice cream factory so forget the
sweet smell, you are only calling health problems like vaginal n cervical
cancers.
Do
ladies share pant among sisters or friends in the hostel? Please STOP!
Amy
felt sorry because she appears to be guilty for all this, she doesn’t want to loose
her marriage, she loves her husband so much, she corrected all the issues she was
guilty of, from changing her tampons at least twice a day. Dries her underwear
under the sun and stopped her use of antiseptic to douche.
She also eliminated all
the Flagyl (a very common medication used for treatment of thrush infections} Intake
and drinks plenty of water instead. She was also encouraged to request for
her husband to wash hands and possibly have a bath before initiating the
insertion of his fingers into her during fore play.
Please
men do not be offended because our fingers harbour a lot of germs in the event
of counting/touching money, shaking hands, picking nose and so on.
She
feels better, less smell and no discharges. She feared her copper T was the
cause of this psychological trauma but Amy knew a thousand times that her habits
caused her problems and not the method she chose at the women’s health clinic.
This
certainly has caused Fola to skip his weekend outings just to be with his dearly
beloved wife…Amy!
