10 TRUTH your doctor is yet to tell you...



Miscarriage is the most common pregnancy loss and a very difficult moment to cope with. Most miscarriages occurs within the the first 13 weeks of pregnancy.

In the midst of your excitement and not even knowing you are pregnant some things you will never imagine will cause you to miscarriage...

  1. Titus Fish and some Sea food:

Mackerels contains mercury 
Frequent consumption of this can lead to delay in the development of the fetus (baby in weeks) and subsequently lead to brain damage.

2. Undercooked egg, raw meat or poultry:

This is a NO NO NO...In Ibo, it is an mbaa, mbaa, mbaa.
Home made dessert and sauces like chocolate, cakes or mayonnaise intake should be limited. These foods are made with raw egg, They contain bacteria - listeria that causes vomiting and stool-ling, causing a decent of the fetus-miscarriage happens.

3. Unwashed fruit and vegetables:

STOOOP!!!

If you are Doing this during early pregnancy, you are ingesting Pesticide and Parasites that causes damage to the growing baby. This makes natural forces react and expels the baby.

4. Nuts: 

Groundnut, walnut 
You are not totally avoiding this because they are actually very healthy for you but be watchful to know when there is an occurrence of rash or any other skin allergies.

5.Street Food, Restaurant-Made-Salad:

We all like party Jollof rice, add salad, add moi moi...hahaaa.

Take a Chill Pill lady...ever wondered why you stool or run belle after eating such from canteens or parties? 

Quality is poor, utensils and food materials not properly washed and may contain bacteria-listeria that causes an intending mum to stool till she miscarries, especially in the first trimester.

6. Unpasteurized Juice

Juice is best with new moms when they go to the market and blend it fresh.This will ensure that it is properly washed.
Unwashed fruit contains E.coli-This is an organism found in feaces, its a bacteria infection that causes miscarriage. Unwashed fruit also contains Salmonella-the micro organism that causes Typhoid fever.

7. No Caffeine, Herbal Tea,or Dark Chocolate:

This is a great cause of miscarriage in the 5th - 12th week of most pregnancies.

8. Canned foods- All kinds of canned foods should be reduced to minimal or completely avoided during pregnancy. The lining of canned meals contain Bisphenol which affects fetal endocrine activities. Bear in mind also that these foods are stored with preservatives for a long time.

9. Pastries:

Anything with flour e.g doughnut
This should be done in minimal, Much of pastry intake causes constipation and can disrupt fetal growth in early stages of pregnancy.

10. Cravings, Hunger pangs:

It is normal to experience cravings all through pregnancy....can I have some Ice cream with madagascar toppings please!

This sounds tempting but its best to avoid.

Accumulation of sugar in your system will cause diabetes in both fetus and mom to be. 
This state of the body during the early stages of pregnancy might cause a miscarriage.

Miscarriage happens everyday!
